Three weeks of work, including two exciting client visits, in the bag! Besides work we:
- took a trip to the Golden gate bridge to try out some new camera gear we bought. It was extremely windy, and KoKo almost lost her hat

- attempted to photograph the 4th of July fireworks. We have a lot to learn. Most importantly, bring a tripod EVERYWHERE…

- drove up to Yosemite. Actually, we wanted to cross Tioga Pass, the 120. This is the first time we’ve been in the area when it’s been open, and it was calling our names. We rented a car, and headed out for a full, full day adventure. The weather was perfect, and we used every single second of daylight. There is beautiful scenery, and even some wildlife. We got a great sunset on the way to glacier point. And made it back to the hotel at 2am. Full. Day. Adventure.

On Thursday, we clean our desks and hop a flight up to Portland to finish our work trip out with some vendor visits.

Our house has new tenants in it, so we need to do a drive by, for sanity’s sake. It looks like it’s in good hands, there are flowers all over the porch that surround cute furniture. Very relieved. Our final work task, before we get a friend weekend, is to visit two of our vendors today. Both visits are great, and we leave with several new ideas.
Now we load up our rental Camaro and head for the southern Oregon coast. Five hours later, we are reuniting with some of our favorite people. We spend the weekend jet boating the Rouge River. The weather is perfect, and the company even better. We explore upriver until we reach a resort with a restaurant. Full of food, we load back up and head back to the hotel for the night.

Sad Sunday, full of so long’s. After we say bye to our friends, it’s back north to Portland and more dumplings. We have an early flight in the morning, and we’re very tired (hungover) from our weekend. Everyone sleeps hard.

Morning is here much to quickly. Ok, let’s get this party started! Car returned. Bags checked. Security cleared. Lounge visited. Plane #1 boarded. After our very uneventful flight back to San Francisco, we settle into a handful of hours in the lounge. Our connection in Houston is tight, just over an hour. And then we hit weather. They reroute us south. Then the weather clears, and they send us back to Houston. Half an hour behind. Then Denver and Newark get weather, so their flights don’t leave. We sit on the tarmac for an hour. Our connection is also delayed, so all our fingers are crossed. But it doesn’t help. While we sit on the tarmac for another half hour, our flight to Buenos Aires leaves without us, and about 45 other passengers. Looks like we’re spending the night in Houston…

We are rebooked on a new flight through Panama City that leaves around noon. Nice casual start to a long day. Four hours to Panama City passes quickly. Finally, the last and longest, leg of our journey! Seven and a half hours to Buenos Aires here we come! Once the sun sets there is some lightning in the distance. We land mostly on time, but our bags stayed in Houston…damnit…. it’s 1:30am our time, 5:30am Buenos Aires time, and we are tired and cranky.
